Sophya was amazing! She was honestly the best server I’ve had here. I’ve been here a few times and have had different servers, but every time Sophya takes care of me, I know I’m going to have a great experience. She is always so attentive, kind, and on top of everything. She’s constantly checking to make sure everything is okay, and she always has a smile on her face. You can really tell that she cares about making her customers feel comfortable and welcomed. Everything was great, but what made this visit stand out was definitely Sophya and the way she treated me. She made the whole experience feel so much better. She’s such a sweet person and an amazing server. If you come here, I definitely recommend asking for Sophya! ❤️

The service and food and atmosphere are all good. It is smaller than most restaurants, being one of the iconic building architecture. This was my second visit this week, a Friday. On the first visit, the waitress identified herself (Carolina). I do not recall whether she wore a name tag.Today,'s waitress did neither. In fact, not even the man who seated me wore a name tag. Two waitresses worked on my service, but the one who took my order must have been the primary. She smiled pleasantly and often. The atmosphere seemed more intense in this store. It felt like the waitresses were not at ease. I wondered if their manager, likely the man who seated me, was more a director than a manager. He was present on the floor, checking on patrons. He was participatory. Unlike the Bergen Street, Newark store, this one has not returned to placing the flavored syrups on the table. On my first visit this week, the waitress provided warmed syrup without me asking. I appreciated this gesture. Today, neither of the two waitresses offered or provided this. Although traffic was higher today, the order and delivery time was faster than earlier this week. As a general note, IHoP should consider having their managers, be they shift, general or assistant, wear button-down shirts or at least collared polo-style shirts to distinguish them from general staff. The man I assume was at least a shift supervisor wore a company tee-shirt. Except for the store logo, it looked like an undershirt. I have seen similar in other stores. Maybe it is me, but I always feel more comfortable seeing the person in charge is visibly distinguishable from the rest of the staff. This gives me an impression of the company's approach to store management. Yes, I would recommend this store as a good place to be well-served with food that is good in value and taste by quality staff.
