My server Wendy was amazing. Her first question wasn't what can I need you to drink it wasn't anything but ... how are you doing today? And we've all heard it before, but her voice and the intention behind it is what made it memorable. It was not a script she was following, it was genuine care and she waited for my answer. At the end of my meal, she asked if I was a father and when I said yes, she asked if I had a nice Father's Day. The food is IHOP ... Always consistently the same. I have been to this IHOP 5 or 6 times in the last 10 years. Never bad ... But not memorable. She is the reason to come here and eat. Hopefully you have her as your server or the management understands the value of caring servers and can train all of the staff to be like Wendy.
