My husband and I went to IHOP in Simi Valley for breakfast. At the time, my husband who has frontal temple dementia, was walking through a bit of an episode and it just continued during our breakfast. The waiter we had, I believe his name was Alexander, was so patient and kind. He looked at me and knew something was happening. But he handled the situation well and with such grace. Our breakfast came hot and prompt. We ate. We paid our Bill and left. Everyone in the restaurant was very nice. Even the customers spoke to us when we entered. Even though I don't live in the area because of the service we received, I would go to this location again.

IHOP has consistently decent food. What made my visit super was the service provided by my server, Alexander, to whom I refer as Alexander the Great! He was very attentive, and paid close attention to the requests I made. A lot of servers almost seem to work by rote, but not Alexander. He is so warm and welcoming. He also has a very nice sense of humor. He brightened what had otherwise been a bad day for me. Ask for him!
