I travel roughly 350 days a year for work and eat at restaurants in nearly every state. I've spent decades running corporate operations, hired hundreds of people from entry level through the executive ranks, founded companies, and worked as an IT systems engineer. So when I say Kiara, the assistant manager at IHOP #5521 on Colerain Ave. in Cincinnati, is the best assistant manager I have encountered anywhere, that judgment is informed. She made sure I was taken care of from the moment I sat down. The food and drinks were consistently excellent, and her staff operated with a clear, shared understanding of the service standards she expected. What stood out most was how she handled her team. She spoke to them kindly and directly when she thought no one was listening, and her people respected her enough that they genuinely cared about doing the job right. That kind of leadership cannot be trained into someone. Most managers I've hired never developed it. I came back to that location more than once specifically because of her, and because of the team she has shaped. Calling Kiara an asset to IHOP is underselling it. She has the skill and the will, and that combination is rare enough that any company I've run would have hired her on the spot. IHOP corporate should know what they have. Thank you Kiara.

I had just finished at the gym, and my friend and I thought IHOP would be the perfect post-workout meal. The closest location was Fairfield, but unfortunately an issue came up and we weren’t able to dine in or even do takeout. Wanting to make sure it didn’t happen again, we called the Colerain location to confirm they were open for dine-in. A gentleman named Vedal answered the phone with so much enthusiasm and positive energy. He assured us they were open for dine-in, and honestly, after that short phone call, it was the first time I had ever looked forward to someone being my server. When we arrived, Vedal gave us an experience no one had ever given me at a restaurant before. His kindness, upbeat attitude, and genuine hospitality completely turned our night around. Great customer service like that is rare, and Vedal truly made the experience unforgettable.

Me and my friend finished the gym late at night and were hoping to get some ihop, and we went to an ihop 10 minutes away. When we arrived they wouldn’t let us eat and said door dash only. Furious we then called the second closest ihop and to our surprise Vedal answered and greeted us with the most pleasant greeting ive ever experienced, gave us reassurance for that we would be able to dine in and eat. Excited we drove over to the destination and Vedal was also our server. He had the best customer service skills I have ever seen before in my years as a food consumer. He is the reason we now have given up on waffle house and are loyal Ihop veterans now. To all other servers be more like Vedal.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, when I first walked in treana greeted me with such a welcoming warm smile. She took my order no tablet or pen and pad. My order was correct and delicious! I definitely will be back and can’t wait for the two restaurants to join.

My sons and I just came here for a very early morning breakfast and it was delicious. The restaurant was sparkling clean, modern and the waitress was attentive and prompt. We all had early morning obligations and so wanted to meet at 5:30 a.m. Other restaurants (such as the Waffle House down the street) advertise that they're open 24 hours a day but in reality that means that only their drive-thru is open at night. When IHOP says 24 hours they mean you can come in sit down and have a good meal at any time of the night or day. That's a big difference!
