My husband and I love having this ihop location in Charles Town! Cleanliness has gotten better here over the last couple of years. Service is usually good but can be slow on weekends when they are very busy. However, I wanted to write a review to reach out to ihop corporate because this location (the building itself) needs some serious attention. I am allergic to most molds and had noticed the last few times I went here that I was having mild allergic reactions while in the building. After looking at my surroundings, I noticed that there is clear evidence of black mold growing in various places, especially on the ceiling above where I was sitting. This is a serious hazard for employees to be working in daily! Not to mention people like me who get hives and allergic reactions to mold growth like this. In addition to this, it seems that the HVAC of the building has clearly stopped working a while ago and the restaurant has been hooked up with some type of temporary industrial HVAC system that crowd the dining room and the employees are having to work around this. While I don’t mind it personally, it’s not a great look for the company. The machines have been present for at least 6 months now. I would highly recommend tearing this building down and building a new ihop in its place because this one is turning into a literal biohazard and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously sick from the mold or trips over the temporary HVAC systems. All of that being said, my husband and I want to give a shoutout to the employees here (especially Miguel) for being such great people and really making us want to come back time and time again. They might not get the safest work environment, but they’re working hard to please customers and they really do deserve praise for that.

Our server Amanda is just excellent! We really love coming to ihop. Lynn is a terrific manager as well. She always comes by our table to check on us.

I visited IHOP this past Monday 04/27/26. Very professional. My food was good, General Manager visited my table was very nice. Filled my coffee twice. Joked with my kids like a pleasant grandpa. I will go back very soon just because of the General Manager I think his name was Sam or Shawn or something. Overall good time.

We had an issue with an online order, and when I called everyone was polite, helpful, and not at all defensive. Any organization can have issues, but how they handle it tells you what you need to know. I was so impressed! And, the next day I received a call from the manager to discuss the issue, again, super professional. And the food was very good, just missing an element, but no real complaints about the quality. IHOP is our go-to for an inexpensive takeout these days.

Lily my waitress was amazing and my food was so delicious. I had the poblano omelette, hashbrowns, and the strawberry berry crêpes. Everything was so delicious in the service was outstanding.

I really like Ihop I for a quick breakfast. Now that they have a $6 value menu it is a good place for breakfast but coffee is $3.50. anyway the staff is pleasant homemade atmosphere is just a little better than McDonald's.

Kendra was an excellent server, and the food was great! The restaurant seemed to have something going on with their heat and/or AC based on the equipment and ventilation tubing set up in there, but other than that, a great and pleasant experience!

(Older review)-Staff has been great every time we've been! Food is always good! Review 3/28/26: We go regularly and all the review categories are consistently good. While all the servers have been excellent, (and managers regularly check on things), we are particularly fond of Mikaela (sp), and Kendra B! This is our local go to place and has led us to seek out other IHOPs when traveling.
