I’ve always enjoyed IHOP, but lately the customer service has really gone downhill. On several visits, employees have walked right past without greeting or acknowledging me. I understand that the service industry has changed a lot since COVID, so I try to be understanding. On my most recent visit, the only employees who greeted me or acknowledged me were some of the Spanish staff. One older employee seemed unhappy and never acknowledged me at all, which made for an unwelcoming experience. The difference in customer service and work ethic among the staff was noticeable. Despite that, I still gave a decent rating because the food was good. As someone who manages a business, I know how difficult it is to hire and retain employees these days. Sometimes you’re simply grateful to have enough people to cover a shift. Managing people has become more challenging than ever, and I try to keep that perspective when leaving reviews.

Went here for a late night snack. Was conveniently located next to the hotel. Staff was friendly. The food satisfied the craving for something sweet.

The food is good and has multiple diverse options. The service is good with a few of are favorite servers. There's times when the restaurant has temperature control problems. But they've found solutions for it.

Stopped in Tuscon, Az on 1500 Har and Brittany was our server in the eve and was the only one there and she was very warming with a positive attitude. Great food Great Atmosphere.

My family and I came in over the weekend and to be honest we had pretty much stopped coming to this location for a while because we previously had bad experiences, bad service, and bad food however we came in this weekend and we had a wonderful experience this time around. Our server Kendra was just amazing she was great with our kid, she made sure our order was correct regardless of it being very outside the box and she checked on us after we got all of our stuff which doesn't always happen. So because of her we will be coming back again. Also the food was delicious so the cooks did a great job too .

My husband and I love having this ihop location in Charles Town! Cleanliness has gotten better here over the last couple of years. Service is usually good but can be slow on weekends when they are very busy. However, I wanted to write a review to reach out to ihop corporate because this location (the building itself) needs some serious attention. I am allergic to most molds and had noticed the last few times I went here that I was having mild allergic reactions while in the building. After looking at my surroundings, I noticed that there is clear evidence of black mold growing in various places, especially on the ceiling above where I was sitting. This is a serious hazard for employees to be working in daily! Not to mention people like me who get hives and allergic reactions to mold growth like this. In addition to this, it seems that the HVAC of the building has clearly stopped working a while ago and the restaurant has been hooked up with some type of temporary industrial HVAC system that crowd the dining room and the employees are having to work around this. While I don’t mind it personally, it’s not a great look for the company. The machines have been present for at least 6 months now. I would highly recommend tearing this building down and building a new ihop in its place because this one is turning into a literal biohazard and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously sick from the mold or trips over the temporary HVAC systems. All of that being said, my husband and I want to give a shoutout to the employees here (especially Miguel) for being such great people and really making us want to come back time and time again. They might not get the safest work environment, but they’re working hard to please customers and they really do deserve praise for that.
