A lovely, quiet place where I can sit and eat an ungodly amount of pancakes with my favorite strawberry syrup. I love the people here. Mary and Lauren are my favorite people and are the reason I keep coming back. The food tastes better when they’re around.

We come to IHOP Walnut Creek frequently and have always had a great experience, especially with a kind and professional hostess who usually works there. Unfortunately, our visit on June 16 at approximately 7:40 PM was very disappointing. The hostess, Lauren, immediately told us that pets were not allowed when we arrived with our service dog. Our dog is clearly identified as a service dog, and even if there had been any concerns, we were willing to sit outside. The interaction felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. Lauren appeared irritated by our presence and did not provide the level of customer service we have come to expect from this location. As regular customers, we would appreciate an explanation regarding this incident and would like management to follow up with us. We enjoy coming to this IHOP and would like to continue visiting, but this experience left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from management soon. Update: I really appreciate that the manager followed up with me and took my concerns seriously. It means a lot to know that customer feedback is valued. I was also very happy to see our regular hostess, Mary, who is absolutely wonderful. She has always been kind, professional, and welcoming, and she is one of the main reasons we have continued coming back to this location. She always makes us feel comfortable and appreciated. Thank you for addressing this situation and for showing that you care about your customers’ experiences. I truly appreciate the way it was handled and look forward to visiting again.
