Food was made to order correctly. Service was a little slow but not the fault of our server, Malik, who was serving 3/4 of the restaurant due to low staff. He was compensated appropriately for his hard work and professionalism.

Finally a place who knows what both hospitality and good food means!! Amazing IHOP just amazing, I’ve been driving for 2 weeks out of Long Island and stumbled upon this place and I was very impressed, in fact it was one of the best if not the best ihop I’ve ever dined at, 1000x better than the IHOPS back where I’m from. From the moment I walked through those doors my server Makai, greeted me immediately with a smile and sat me right away and got me a shake within minutes than he proceeded to take my order and was even cautious to ask if I’m ready to even order which I was impressed at. Makai was very humble and wanted to be friendly with every single guest in the restaurant which is something most servers don’t do nowadays. Didn’t rush me at all, checked on me and made sure there was zero chance of issues. Pricing was very affordable, and I saw the service being worth more than 30% of the bill, which says something coming from someone who’s dined in hundreds if not thousands of restaurants both good and bad globally. I hold waiters to standards when I go out to eat, which you can see by my review history, and as a NYER and a Long Islander, it’s been a long time since anyone other than who I typically do business with has given me such respect as a young, solo traveler, which I applaud. He even gave me better service than most high end steakhouses priced at 200$+ per person without drinks, which just blows my mind. The food was great too and was typical of an IHOP without the faults in other locations, and the place was very clean and no signs of any homeless or disadvantaged people hanging out around the restaurant. One small little thing that I want to point out, the water glass was a little dirty, not sure how, but I noticed it mid eating when I turned the glass on the outside, appeared to be eggs or something but Makai impressed me so much I’m not gonna penalize this place for that since their intentions are very clear!! Makai should honestly be working in a much higher end place with his skills, but I’m glad he decided to stay humble and serve people who are on a budget rather than cater to higher spending crowds in the high end restaurants for a paycheck, which in today’s age is quite rare!! Will definitely be spreading the word about this place and if I’m ever in Flagstaff again I will definitely return as this location made me smile as a NYER who’s under a lot of stress regularly professionally. Applaud to the manager/owner of this location and whoever trained Makai as they did an amazing job!!
