Had a great experience thanks to Genesis at IHOP in Davis, CA! She was handling a full section and still managed to keep a positive, friendly attitude the entire time. Even with a lot of tables to take care of, she stayed attentive, checked in on us regularly, and made sure everything came out right. You can tell she really cares about her customers. Service like that makes a big difference—thank you, Genesis!

I was denied service because of my ADA-trained service dog. Staff incorrectly told me that my dog needed to wear a “blue vest from Amazon” to be allowed entry. I had already presented my service dog’s medallion and documentation before being asked, but this was disregarded. Under the ADA, there is no requirement for a vest, ID, or specific gear for a service animal. My service dog is fully trained, flies with me, and has clearance to enter federal buildings. Denying access under these circumstances is not only incorrect—it is a violation of ADA guidelines. ***UPDATED REVIEW*** After being contacted by the area manager—Lycia, what a nice lady—I walked her through what happened and mentioned it could be a great training opportunity. Lycia was already ahead of me: “I’m scheduling a training session with all my general managers so policies are consistent across my district.” That felt really good to hear. Fast forward—I was back up at UC Davis for Senta!’s follow-up appointment. While on the phone, a 530 number popped up. Thought it was UC Davis… nope—Monica, the GM in Davis I told her I’d call back in five. (Side note: thanks, iPhone 17… where’s the caller ID when you need it?) Picked up Senta! and drove over to IHOP. Walked in (I’m not exactly hard to spot—especially with Senta!), asked for Monica, and she popped right around the corner with a smile—“That’s me.” Now here’s the tell: Senta! is the ultimate judge of character. Senta! walked right up to Monica and nuzzled in. That tells you everything. Within seconds, Senta! was absolute butter in her hands. Monica apologized sincerely for what happened. I told her—it happens, and I hope it becomes a learning moment. Again, she was already there: they had completed a full staff training, and she assured me it won’t happen again. That meant a lot. People do push the envelope sometimes, and unfortunately that can make things harder for those of us with legitimate service dogs. Before I left, Monica invited us back for breakfast next time I’m in town—on one condition: Senta! has to be there too. Deal. Team Senta!

It was amazing! Food was really good! Shout out to the staff everyone was so kind definitely will be coming back for service alone! Cooks did amazing as well pancakes on point! (So much better than Denny's 👀) Genesis was our server and she was amazing she knew the menu really well and recommendations were so good!

We haven't been to Ihop in a very long time, but this visit was great and Genesis was such a nice server! She made sure to talk to us and get us everything we needed even though it was really busy :))

Post picnic day it was a 20-30min wait for mid morning. The pancakes seemed smaller than normal, probably becaue the diner was full. The waiter, genesis s, was very nice

I really enjoy coming to this Davis iHOP! The food is consistently delicious, the service is very fast and friendly, and all the staff know how to make it feel like home each time I come. I get to see Genesis a lot, and really enjoy getting to catch up with her every time I do. She’s so efficient, competent and personable, I’m always impressed by her attention to detail and strong work ethic. Thank you so much for your service! One of my favorite things to get is the Thick and Fluffy French Toast, the strawberry banana one. Definitely a treat!

It was surprisingly busy for lunch time but we were seated quickly and taken care of quickly as well. Genessis, our server, was very attentive and quick with refills and provided a very pleasant time. Definitely would return for lunch solely for that and our server.
