Lily is the most amazing server! I keep having good experiences at this IHOP. It feels more like a quaint family business here. First of all, you can tell that the manager remembers you by face, even though this is only my 3rd visit in life. Lily served us. I was so impressed with her demeanor and temperament/energy. Not only is she professional, she reminds me of the kind of person you expect to encounter at an upscale establishment. She is warm, friendly, always there when you need her, supportive, and never too invasive. She kind of had the polished presence of a news anchor or correspondent on the red carpet, but with the quiet, warm authenticity of a trusted friend. She is excellent in her ability to anticipate your needs. She really sees you. The food was good, hot and well-made for IHOP. The cheat day of Cinnastack pancakes and big steak omelettes was totally worth it. One note, an older gentleman was alone and had some trouble with getting inside. My friend and I were concerned it was a health issue or that he was lost. We rushed to help him and alerted Lily and the manager Luis. My friend stayed near and assisted. Still, without hesitation, and without interrupting the flow of food service, they jumped to attention to ensure he was safe. I watched them seamlessly coordinate with the other servers/staff. Then, Luis empathetically engaged the gentleman, while respecting his dignity. They made sure he got what he needed and was able to make it back safely to his ride or the person waiting for him. Lily, Luis, and the IHOP team are just good, caring human beings here in this city. If I can trust them to watch out for an older adult in need, above and beyond their duties, then I feel good about trusting them to make my food. Keep Being Wonderful!
